How do I leave a comment

I know it seems a bit fiddly at first but the new way of leaving comments is very much easier after the first time you’ve done it.

Basically you are ‘borrowing’ login details from other sites you might have accounts with – meaning you don’t have to keep remembering yet another set of login details for here. The other sites (Facebook, Google, Yahoo Flickr etc) are fully aware and encourage this. We do not store your password.

Step 1
step1

At the end of the comment thread you will not be able to see the box for you to leave a comment as you cannot comment until logged in. So, click the ‘logged in’ link.

Step 2
step2

Choose the provider with whom you have an account (e.g. an email account or Facebook etc). In the image above, I select a Yahoo acct.

Step 3
step3

You go to the providers website and may be asked to signin with your username and/or password if you are not already logged in elsewhere.

Step 4
step4

Your provider (Yahoo in this case) will warn you that you are using your acct to login to leftbrainrightbrain.rpxnow.com or maybe just leftbrainrightbrain.co.uk. Please click ‘share and continue’.

Step 5
step5

You now return back to the leftbrainrightbrain.co.uk login screen and are either signed in automatically or – as in this case – need to sign in.

Step 6
step6

You’re now returned to the website and can leave your comment.

End

That might seem like a lot of work but its worth it. Its more secure for you and us. It makes it easier to cut down on comment spam and you should only have to sign in again when you have been away for awhile.
