@Media2005

12 Jan

With an interesting programme and a very exciting list of speakers including Ian Lloyd of Accessify.com and Andy Budd the @Media 2005 event looks like its going to be great.

I won’t be going as the date is far too close for comfort to my wifes due date but everyone who is going has my undying envy! If you feel sorry for me, feel free to buy me a Mac Mini to in some way assuage my disappointment!

    I have sacrificed my Mac Mini purchase to go and see the masters in action.

    Real shame you aren’t going to be there, understandable though I suppose! 😉

    It’s a shame you won’t be there Kev, it’d have been good to have finally met.

    I never knew you had this blog going on…if I can help out with your new project btw, just gimme a shout.

    @John: I was gutted when I saw how close it was. Bah!

    @Jamie: Mr Pittock I presume 😉 ? Indeed, it would’ve been good to meet up. If its a piss up you’re after I think John just above you has already sorted out a pub meet on his site. Oh and all contributions would be gratefully recieved for the project.

    Those Mini Macs are so cool, Im almost sure Im going to get one after pay day.

    Worrying thing for apple though is that it wont replace PCs, mearly compliment them…

    I wonder how good a media server it would be? Ive heard its got no included media out ports…

    @Matt: ” Worrying thing for apple though is that it wont replace PCs, mearly compliment them…”

    You think? I see it as a ‘tempter’ for those of us who design and who use PC’s. It won’t kill the PC market but it might take a larger bite out of it.

    Thats what I mean exactly, a tempter which I dont think, for all its good features will make people get up and buy a higher end model.

    For all the love and wants of tecnhology, price is still a major consideration, those who want a mac, can afford a proper one, the mini mac market is for those who cant – they will already have a pc and will, I think, see no reason to upgrade the mini mac to a bigger product, which is Apples aim.
