As this site gets busier and busier I’m finding it increasingly difficult to answer everything that comes up. If I don’t answer immediately please be patient.
I’ve had to ramp up my spam control. This may result in your comment getting moderated. Please don’t worry if this happens to your comment. If its genuine I’ll release it as soon as I can.
I try and avoid moderation and deletion as much as I can. I don’t care if you swear as long as its not abusively directed at someone. I also don’t care if you agree with what I have to say or not. Feel free to disagree but please try to keep a certain level of politeness going.
This site is not a democracy. It belongs to me. Its not an open forum for you to preach. If you flood the comments with duplicate posts or abusive posts or posts that are exactly the same as what somone else has said or are simply meaningless then I’ll remove them. Server space costs money and I need to optimise it as much as I can.
I’ve sadly had to ban 2 people in the last week or so. One of them was attempting to flood the comments with the same message over and over resulting in over 10 identical posts I had to waste time removing. Prior to this he’d had 2 warnings about abusive language.
The other person was openly aggressive and confrontational. He also flauted warnings.
Be passionate, be angry or happy or sad or whatever. I’d expect no less from anyone – this is a contraversial subject – but if you step out of line you’ll get warned then banned. I’ll also report you to your ISP which may well result in the suspension or removal of your internet access. Such things are not uncommon. This is ‘last resort’ tactics but I will do it if pushed.
Thank you for listening. We now return you to your regularly scheduled arguing.

“R: Mr. DeBakey’s free, but he’s a little bit conciliatory. ”
Still makes me snigger like a little girl.
Too fu**ing right Kevin! 😉
Autism Diva was cracking up with tears running down her face when she was reading the argument clinic sketch and then more when she read dead parrot sketch. sigh. It’s dangerous to go too long between classic Python readings.

What Kevin doesn’t tell you is that he is paying way more to be at the top of search engines to accuse Dr. Buttar of being a snake oil salesman!
Please refer to Kevin’s blog # 234
If I do a search on Yahoo for Dr. Buttar, the blog listed above, is number 8. Kevin Leitch complains about the cost of server space but the cost of being near the top of that Yahoo search engine is way more expensive than server space.
If everyone that reads this goes to Yahoo and searches for Dr. Buttar and then clicks on the link to:
Autism Web Blog Design Blog: Letter to Chelationist Dr. Rashid Buttar
Kevin Leitch pays everytime you click on the link from the Yahoo search engine.
Er, I think you’ve misunderstood the way search engines work Tammy.
Yahoo’s paid-for listings are supplied by a company called Overture. When Overture feed results to Yahoo searches these results are clearly marked as ‘sponsored listings’. Its not possible to buy the top position in any search engines generic results. Believe me, my day job would be a lot easier if you could. As an example here’s a Yahoo search for ‘loans’ – there are no sponsored listings for ‘Rashid Buttar’ – In Yahoo’s case, sponsored links appear at the top and on the right.
Lets have a look at a Google search for Rashid Buttar.
On the left of the page are the generic results. Both AutismDiva and I are listed.
On the right are the ‘sponsored links’ – the people who’ve paid to rank well for that phrase.
Sorry Tammy, you’re chasing non-existant conspiracies. Very amusing though.
Oh – I forgot to add: if you do go and click on the link from the search results to my pages, I get a nice page rank boost which lifts me further up the rankings.
And for those interested ‘Tammy’ is Kevin Champagne. In a classic move (part of a series I’m thinking of calling ‘Champ-watch’) Kevin didn’t realise that simply posting under a new name wouldn’t be enough to hide who he was. Obviously as conversant in all areas of the Internet as he is with search engines Kevin has no idea what an IP address is or how it can be used to identify people.
Tammy is right! Kev is a conspirator!!1!
Ban Kev from teh interweb!
And I would’ve gotten away with it to if it weren’t for you darn er, kids.

How dare you use freely available information about the net and how it works in order to discover people’s secret identity!
No, wait. Let me do this Python-style:
Dear Sir,
I am offended and shocked by the recent posting that indicates that the internet works differently than some people think. Why, I’ve been on the internet for years, and I’ve never had an IP address in my entire life, nor have I ever dressed up like a policewoman and handcuffed a naked man to a radiator, particularly not for money. How dare you suggest such a thing. I must object in the most strenous of terms.
Yours sincerely,
