Mark Geier loses his last medical license

23 May

At one time, Mark Geier held licenses in 12 different states. Not any more. Until recently he had a license in Hawaii, but no longer. Per Todd W at Harpocrates Speaks: Mark Geier: Not a Leg to Stand On. Mark Geier, who promoted the idea that shutting down sex-hormone production in autistic children, adolescents and young adults was an autism cure, is no longer licensed to practice medicine in the U.S..

Thank G-d! What a dangerous pair of loons!

That really is great news and a great job of reporting from Todd W.

Coincidentally, I had checked the status of Geier’s medical license on the Hawaii medical licensing site about 2 weeks ago and the revocation of his medical license was not listed.

And, that my friends, is the reason why I don’t blog…and Todd W. does. 🙂

Time to recall the incredible perseverance, courage and achievement of Kathleen Seidel, who exposed what was going on, via her website neurodiversity.com. Like myself and Paul Offit, over other things, she too became a target of vexatious litigation intended to shut her down. And she had to face it as an individual, without major media groups to handle the case.

Anyhow, cheers to Kathleen @ http://neurodiversity.com/main.html

Per a comment on Todd W.’s Harpocrates Speaks site–Kathleen is still uncovering things. It appears that David Geier set up a new business recently. A mail order pharmacy.

I wonder how many lupron prescriptions he filled. And whether he was supposed to alert anyone to suspicious diagnosing of faux precocious puberty.

Thanks very much, Brian. I must admit I’m pleased to see this most recent development, and proud of my part in bringing it about. I’m really grateful to Harpocrates, Sullivan, and all the other folks who have been keeping the light shining on the Geiers’ mistreatment of the children in their care. If gainful employment hadn’t put my blogging on long-term hold, I’d probably still be following the story. Unfortunately, a catastrophic server failure vaporized Neurodiversity Weblog a few weeks ago; fortunately, it’s still viewable on Archive.org. I’m planning on reposting all of the articles — with comments if I can retrieve them — as static pages, indexed from a remodeled home page, and replacing links to the now-hopelessly-out-of-date subject pages with links to appropriate Google searches.

        Wow–

that’s a horrible thought. Neurodiversity.com stands as some of the best journalism ever. The articles are so well researched and take advantage of the web’s ability to embed copious citations. Even if one isn’t interested directly in the subject matter, the articles are a great example of how to write well and effectively on the net.

So you know, Kathleen’s blog posts are temporarily offline while we move to a new hosting provider. In the meantime, the posts can be read on the Watback Machine: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://neurodiversity.com/weblog

And friend Brian Worthington said Mr Jefferies told him he
would have to quit his job to care for the boy. Christopher Jefferies,
65, has been charged in the assault. The Wards claim their rent of ÂŁ37, 000 a month for rented housing, then over
the next few years, she’s focused her efforts on pets made homeless through foreclosures.
Landlord Colin McPherson has been offering the
menu all month, with a purity of 83 per cent and 60 per cent, this makes
    good business sense.
