   People have lost the proper fear of viruses and bacteria.

   When you see how they adapt in such a way that they almost seem to plan to kill off large swaths of populations. They mutate to become more effective killers and if people don’t interfere with them they kill, kill, kill and maim, maim, maim.

   Measles if turned loose now would kill much like smallpox did, and smallpox if allowed to kill, kill, kill today the way it did for centuries, would resolve to mainly a childhood disease, with a few unlucky souls being killed off by it. This is why the Spaniards could carry smallpox to South America and they themselves not be killed… the communities they came from had been attacked by smallpox so often that the susceptible (a large portion of the population) had been killed off over, and over again.

   The conquistadors were survivors of generations of death by smallpox, which changes the population and changes the nature of the germ somewhat. But when it hit South America it took off.

   The Spanish influenza was so virulent at one point that a person could leave their house, not feeling so awful and die in the street of destroyed lungs. Lungs that looked like “current jelly” upon autopsy.

   Yes, proper handling of human waste, dead bodies, dead animal carcasses, standing water (mosquito breeding grounds) and clean water does a lot to eliminate some of the germs, but it creates new problems, too. More people survive, they might all pack into a city, they become complacent, they might not all be vaccinated and it’s like so much dry tinder waiting for a “spark” to start a hugely deadly epidemic.

   There’s the issue of a lack of respect for how germy people are how it’s probably a bad idea for just anyone to have sex with just anyone, which pretty much gave us the AIDS epidemic and before that the Hepatitis B epidemic. It’s not prudery to point out that the human body has limitations and that we live in a “herd” and that germs are almost like evil little alien critters in their ability to kill in really ugly ways, and their lack of concern for who they harm.

   Think of like millions of very smart “Terminators” on a really really tiny scale.

   Thanks for the video, even though it is really awful. I wonder if that one baby lost his hand (the one hand that looked all black and shiny).

   Wash your hands now, cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze, wash your hands afterward. Wash your hands some more and keep your kitchen counters clean and wash your kitchen counters with a little bleach water and same for the bathroom surfaces. Keep the flies off your food and keep the mosquitoes out of your house (around here, in California, it’s a problem, we have malaria even as a possibility, and West Nile virus even more so). We also have Lyme disease in ticks here.

   The situation with tuberculosis is getting really bad in some areas, and there isn’t always a cure for it. That’s evidence of those smart germs trying to kill people off who don’t respect how dangerous they are.

   This is a little too much for autists like me, with a lower emotional threshold than a neurotypical. I think I’m going to have nightmares now.

   If it convinces anyone who may have been on the fence about giving their child proper medical care, it’s worth it.

   This video sums up precisely why I had no hesitation in having my two children vaccinated. And yes, one of them is on the autistic spectrum and I would far rather he be the healthy and happy lad he is than for him to risk going through what the children in your video are going through/went through.

   Thanks Kevin, graphic but hits home. I had no hesitation vaccinating my children either. Having had a sibling come close to death in hospital from the mumps and a mother-in-law with major hearing loss from polio, it was even more important to me.

   When I was 2, I almost died of orbital cellulitis, something I recently learned has almost been eradicated by the HIB vaccine.

   My ex-husband had measles as a child. It destroyed the auditory nerves in his left ear. He has no hearing in that ear.
   My son got mumps at 15. It turned rapidly into orchitis. He is now 33, and may be infertile.
   When I was a child, just after WW2 in the UK, children at my school were dying of scarlet fever, measles, mumps and influenza on a regular basis, and lives were destroyed by polio.
   I believe in vaccines.

   Wow.
   I need to show this to a friend of mine who is refusing to vaccinate her 16 month old at all because she’s afraid of the reactions. That child has never even been to a doctor. 😦 I worry every day that she’ll end up sick and the parents won’t know until it’s too late.
   Thanks for making this. I can’t imagine how hard it was to look at all of those photos.

    Some antivaxer’s immunocompetent (aka NOT ON PREDNISONE, unlike me) kid gave me whooping cough. I’ve been in bed & coughing so hard I can’t breathe for 2 weeks.

    And since I’m 24, and vaccinated, I got the MILD version. Some poor kid is going to get really really sick being exposed to whoever I caught it from. All because of stupid propoganda & lies.

    We should vaccinate at a slower schedule and not combo shots. Many states are now requiring the mercury removed from the shots. When I found out that my child had Autism, we stopped doing the shots for 2 years until the mercury was taken out and then completed his shots.
    Of course, no parent would want their child to get one of these horrible diseases, but if you had to ask them “well your child may get this disease someday or not, but your child has a greater chance for autism if we inject him full or mercury over and over again” which would you decide?
    I think spacing out the immunization schedule and making them singular shots is better for our children, then filling them full of mercury. Many children are perfectly healthy and never have been vaccinated. If I had known then what I know now about vaccines and mercury, I would have never let them give my child his shots.

    Why would I lie to someone like that. Alternately (since in this example, “I” am both asking and deciding, why would the decision I made based on false information be important?

    Also:

    Many children are perfectly healthy and never have been vaccinated.

    Contrary to the often held belief behind this idea, vaccinations are not there just to protect those who get the vaccinations. In a very real sense, vaccinations are a public service because, as comment 11 above illustrates, the perfectly healthy unvaccinated child can could kill another child who doesn’t share their robust immune system.

    Children are being harmed by vaccines. It’s that simple. Until you have a child that is harmed by a vaccine you will never know the fear, the guilt, and the pain of knowing that YOU are the reason they are injured.

    Sorry, your video does nothing for me. I would have to ask what kind of health this child had before this video, and I would have to ask what kind of medications he was given, what kind of medical assistance he was given, etc., etc., nothing happens in a bubble.

    My first daughter ended up in the ER for two days due to a vaccine and I was too young to recognize the signs. I kept vaccinating. My mother since that time died of ALS, which has been loosely tied to a virus in the polio vaccine, which held the simian virus SV40 for more than 40 years and HAS been proven to be found in many different types of rares cancers (THE VIRUS AND THE VACCINE).

    Then my second daughter was injured with Juvenile Rhuematoid (sp) Arthritis and my son is now totally unvaxxed and will remain that way.

    We are killing our children with vaccines. We have more than 31 known autoimmunity diseases now that were totally unknown in 1930s. We have an epidemic of autism that is THOUGHT to be genetic, which is a joke. It’s the chemicals, our polluted water, the vaccines, it’s not just one thing, it’s all these assaults on our children’s bodies (and our own) working on top of each other to create death and disease.

    As the mother to a vaccine injured child, I wish I had taken my chances with the remote (check your numbers, more children are injured by vaccines than by natural diseases anymore) possiblity that she will get measles, or mumps, or rubella.

    And to those that recount the “dangers” of going deaf in one ear or whatever it was, the same thing is happening from vaccines. There are children out there who are deaf today from the vaccines, so what have we gained? Nothing.

    And . . . how old are these pictures? This is nothing but a scare tactic for your case and it’s ridiculous.

    Where are the pictures of the dead babies who died from vaccines? Where are the pictures of children like my little girl who had to be on horrible medications, including steroid shots to her knee, due to vaccine injury?

    This is nothing but sensationalistic garbage.

    But your anecdote and reference to an unreliable book are not evidence.

    Please tell us which vaccine in the present pediatric is worse than the actual disease. Don’t just say “All of them”… list the disease, and how the vaccine is worse than the disease. Include link to documentation.

    By the way, many times the child is perfectly healthy before getting a disease. For instance: the 1918 flu pandemic was usually worse for young healthy persons (the immune system reacted TOO much, causing a quick death):

    In the film, the black and white pictures of wards were from the 1918 Influenza Pandemic. Something that can happen again, which is why if you search PubMed you will find lots of research on it.

    You have grown up at a time when the major killers of children came under control due to increased sanitation (which oddly enough caused an increase in polio), better medical care (the ability to treat for pneumonia and dehydration is much better than a century ago), and vaccines. You have not seen how these diseases can affect real people, like many of us have.

    You should do a bit of reading to help remember what it used to be like. Try something like the Roald Dahl autobiographies (how did measles effect his family?), or even _Little Women_ (why does Beth die?), or the biography of the creator of Frankenstein’s monster, Mary Shelley (how many children did she actually give birth to compared to the number that lived to adulthood), what was the incident that inspired the Iditarod dog sled race (why is there a statue of Balto in New York’s Central Park?) and on and on… Or just walk through an old cemetery. There is one stone marker in a nearby cemetery that lists the deaths of four children from one family over a period of a month… what do you think happened?

    I assume, Kev, that you are directing that remark to MaryAnna.

    Afterall, she is the one claiming that vaccines cause deafness and other damage… yet we are just expected to take her word for it. No links to actual research or data… just her word.

    Yet, a casual look at the research shows that after vaccines were introduced there was a reduction of the targeted illness, and a reduction of the effects. Before 1963 there were 500 deaths per year from measles, and lots more incidences of neurosensory damage… but after 1963 when the vaccine was introduced that decreased by 98%.

    In 1964 to 1965 there was a rubella epidemic that hit newborns particularly hard… over 50000 had Congenital Rubella Syndrome. This means that thousands of families had to deal with mental retardation, deafness, blindness and even fetal death. Does the MMR vaccine cause anything near that kind of damage?

    In the 1920s the USA would have 100000 to 200000 cases of diphtheria per year, which has a 5 to 10% mortality (in 1921 there were over 15000 diphtheria deaths). How many people really are damaged each year by the DTaP, DT or Tdap vaccines?

    OMG steroid shots to the knee! The horror! Screw those babies who can’t breathe or end up permanently brain damaged thanks to vaccine preventable diseases. My kid needed some shots due to alleged vaccine injury.

    Hyperbolic statement aside, which is it then? Vaccines = Autism; Environmental toxins = Autism; Aluminum = Autism, Arsenic = Autism? Or is it ALS, deafness, and arthritis?

    If it’s all of the above, then how do you propose we solve this problem? And why all the focus and all blame on vaccines? Heavy metals generally, and Hg in particular, are ubiquitous (obtained through soil, water, breast feeding…). We all [emphasis added] have baseline levels of Hg in our systems. Heavy metals are natural components of the Earth’s crust. They cannot be degraded or destroyed. Some, like copper, selenium, and zinc are necessary for brain function.

    I’m sure you are anxious to see how you “naturally” treat that disease! Remember from the Pink Book link I gave earlier that there is a 5 to 10% death rate for that, oh… and you’ll LOVE this… a 20% death rate for children under the age of 5 and over the age of 40.

    Now, tell us again what the “death rate” is from vaccines… especially the part that includes real evidence. We want something other than “Because MaryAnna said so”.
