    Looks like the NAS is getting its shit together. It has taken them long enough, if you ask me. But I’m sure everyone will be glad to see them going out to spread their message. Ditto Bob MacNeil coming back for a PBS series of reports.

    If those who believe that there may be environmental causes of developmental disorders turn out to be right, people will look back at this interlude caused by Wakefield, Jenny McCarthy, the Age of Hatred site and so forth with burning outrage.

    If there are toxic substances out there doing harm to children (and I recall Tom Insel at NIH pretty much saying that there were too many candidates to know where to start) then there’s not one minute of time and not one cent in public money to be wasted over those lying fools.

    Just my opinion (feeling), but it pissed me off royally. I didn’t read it, I just looked at the ADS! OH, AM I SHOUTING? FORGIVE ME FOR THINKING IT SO OPPORTUNISTIC! Good God, I’d have been overwhelmed by something like that in the early days…

      I call this spam. I get a lot of this, mostly from ‘bots, leaving links to other sites. Using this site to drive traffic. Not adding to the conversation. Sure, it’s nice to know that Ginger reads this blog. I can’t say I return the favor.

    I tried to leave a polite comment on Gingers blog once. Imagine my surprise when it was deleted as quickly as it appeared. She comes across as an angry and bitter lady. So I’ll give the link a miss. AWOL feel free to send me a link to her blog when she cheers up.

    I read Ginger’s blog now and again but its not what it once was. Ginger stopped making rational points a fair while ago sadly.

    This was a Media Planet insert which is funded by advertisements, and presumably The Independent was paid well for circulating it. It’s not editorial content. Apology if stating the obvious, but there were comments above about the heavy advertising content. Newspapers often carry these externally compiled promotional inserts, and when I see them they go straight in the bin. They presumably are the price that needs to be paid when struggling paid-for print newspapers try to survive.
