Mark Geier has been discussed a great deal here on Left Brain/Right Brain. Including very recently on the topic of this article. Much of that discussion has recently centered on his belief that not only is autism caused by mercury, but that mercury somehow is bound to testosterone and that by reducing the amount of testosterone in the body one can reduce the amount of mercury and, thus in his flawed model, treat autism. Mr. Geier’s clinical practice was found to have been flawed as well and he lost his license to practice medicine in his home state of Maryland. He was licensed in multiple other states as well, including Missouri and Illinois. With the loss of his license in Maryland, other states have followed in license actions.
The St. Louis Post Dispatch reports: ” Controversial autism doctor Mark Geier loses licenses in Missouri, Illinois”.
Todd W. Of Harpocrates Speaks writes about this in “Mark Geier on his Last Leg” where he notes that Mark Geier is still licensed in Hawai’i only.
Todd W. keeps a map of states where Mark Geier has lost his license.

I checked out Todd’s map. Did Geier just get a license in so many states so he could prescribe? His Lupron therapy must have earned him a lot of money if he maintained offices in all those states.
I wonder if he’ll move to Mexico or some other location outside the US where he will still be able to continue to poison children.
I’m surprised he hasn’t already packed up for Mexico or some Caribbean island at this point.
Not that the Geiers had all that much credibility left with the NVICP but this should put the nail in their coffins and prevent them from using the ‘vaccine court’ as their personal piggy-bank.
@mikema, yes Mark Geier had intended to open his creepy clinics all over the U.S. although I don’t believe he had them in all of the states he had a license in. This isn’t to say that he can’t still open clinics with other sleazy physicians but his so-called Lupron therapy is a lightning rod and I doubt he is going to be able to marshall new recruits. Mayer Eisenstein is in business with Geier in Illinois so it will be interesting to see if that continues.

Sorry if this is a double post, something strange happened to this comment when I signed into Word Press
He did have a clinic here in suburban St. Louis…not sure how much time he actually spent here. He did have at least a nurse practioner who staffed the office, and David Geier spent time here too….not seeing patients, of course (sarcasm). Parents have bragged about getting medicaid and private insurance to pay for rhis quackery. Good riddance.
