Brian Deer, the investigative journalist who broke the story of Andrew Wakefield’s improprieties in his autism research, has been nominated for “Specialist Journalist of the Year” and “News Reporter of the Year”. The Press Gazette lists all the nominees in their piece The Press Awards: The Times leads with 18 nominations. For other non-UK residents, I’ve been told that The Press Awards are akin to the Pulitzer Prize in the US.
The article doesn’t cite the reason for Mr. Deer’s nominations, but it is a pretty safe bet that his articles on Andrew Wakefield in the BMJ had a lot to do with it. Links to those articles are below:

nutritional abnormalities
vitamin and mineral deficiencies
fatty acid imbalances
gastro intestinal issues
inflammation
oxidative stress
immune system issues
mitochondrial dysfunction…and more.
These symptoms are all grounded in Science, yet doctors are not approaching these as part of the care or treatment of the children. There is only ” management” of the issue, not identify and treat, going down the list one at a time. And while doing this might not give a child a CURE, it sure would make the child more comfortable and improve their quality of life, and that of their parents and siblings!
If one of you presented with these symptoms you would be subjected to a battery of tests, but once an ” ASD” has been handed down, doctors develop a schetoma towards their patients.
For shame on doctors, caving in to the herd mentality and putting their heads in the sand while people like B. Deer get to run amok and stalk and obfiscate the issue with his pasty, patsy “wanna na na ness” !

Those 8 characterisations you post above sound like something straight out of a bio medical textbook. My son does not have any of the 8 ailments you list. And I have a suspicion would not have any of the, “…and more”. Would that mean according to you that he is not ASD? Multiple studies, including one in Denmark that looked at over half a million children, found no correlation between Autism and vaccines. The only “studies” that found a link were those done by Wakefield and his associates, and Wakefield faked his data.
