I got my second dose of COVID vaccine.
I am very fortunate that my state classified parents of high risk disabled kids (young adults, in my case) as “health care workers” and granted us access to the COVID-19 vaccine. 4 weeks ago I got dose one, and today I got dose 2. As a short PSA–nurses like food and nothing stops you from […]

15 years ago I went online to find out information about autism. Like many parents, I didn’t know much before my kid was diagnosed. And like many parents, I’m still learning. With the rise of the internet and, later, social media, advocacy by and for autistic people was increasing. It wasn’t new (for example, Jim […]

Wakefield continues his climb to the top of the heap. The dung heap.
and Medscape named him the worse doctor of 2011 (worse than Michael Jacksons doc!):

It’s amusing and interesting to see people so concerned about protecting Wakefield, yet those same people don’t seem to mind that Jenny McCarthy’s son never had acutal autism. He has landau kleffner syndome.
Harry,
I’ve seen that speculated, even in the scientific literature by an expert, but have not seen it confirmed.
Harry, as Sullivan states I don’t know those claim has ever been confirmed so I think some benefit of doubt should be given that it is in fact autism. What concerns me more about Jenny is that she does not seem to openly talk about the intensive ABA her son did.
